Who we are
STORIA is a product of Icona Labs LLC, operating at bystoria.com. STORIA is an AI-powered creative strategy tool for musicians, built by Austere (byaustere.com). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information we collect
We collect what you give us directly: your email address, artist name, your answers to the intake and plan questions, and any lyrics or voice notes you share. Voice notes are transcribed and the audio is not kept. We also collect basic usage data, such as pages visited and feature use, to improve the product.
How we use your information
Your answers exist to generate your marketing plan: your identity work, personas, release plan, content calendar, and production briefs. We use third-party AI services (Anthropic and OpenAI) to process your answers and write your plan. Your data goes to those services only to generate your output, and under our agreements with them it is not used to train their models. We do not sell your personal information.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers. Your plan and answers are retained while your account is active so you can come back to them.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from the account menu on your dashboard. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your answers, your plan, and your login are removed, and access ends the moment it completes. If anything ever gets in the way, email plans@bystoria.com and a person will remove it by hand.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We collect anonymized analytics to understand how artists use STORIA. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, and you can request a copy of what we hold. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA; European residents under the GDPR. Write to us at the address below to exercise any of them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a way that matters, we post the update here and change the date above. Continuing to use STORIA after a change means you accept it.
